Last weekend, while doing some holiday shopping, I found a copy of Wee Wonderfuls at my favorite used bookstore for only 16 dollars! Yes! I love this book so much since all the projects are incredibly cute and fun to make.

My cousin graduated from UC Davis last weekend, so I decided to make her a bear from Wee Wonderfuls. She is made from gray corduroy that I bought at a creative reuse center, and she has bead eyes and a felt nose. This bear pattern has arms and legs that are attached to the body with buttons, meaning her arms and legs can move around... is it weird that I find that rather exciting? I decided to make this bear extra pretty by adorning her with an embroidered leaf necklace and felt rose.
Her name is Petunia!

In other news, yesterday was my 24th birthday and I had an excellent birthday surprise in the world of blogging... Tilly included me in an inspiration post on her blog,
Tilly and the Buttons! Tilly has a great blog, so go check it out! And thank you to Tilly for making my birthday more bright!
That bear is just so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I'd love to get a copy of that book too. Congrats on being featured on Tilly's blog plus turning 24 :)
