Today I went to the White Elephant Sale in Oakland which is a huge rummage sale benefiting the Oakland Museum. My favorite area of the sale? Sewing, of course. Tons of fabric and other bits at great prices. I stocked up on fabric and also bought some buttons, lace, and a few patterns. Tonight I'm working on a dress made from some navy blue with stripes polyester (above on the left). I think I may try to make a 50s style swimsuit with the rest of the polyester one day when I'm feeling ambitious enough to create a pattern.
I also bought these two pretty things in the jewelry section. It was a nice day. Now I better work on Valentines Day cards (while watching Harry Potter!).
