After seeing a blog post on Coletterie about organizing your fabric, I got to work sorting out my own stash. I have about a trunk and two boxes full of fabric that I've collected secondhand over the past few years and it is in desperate need of organization.
I've started rolling and tying up the various pieces to be stored in rainbow color order, but I feel the need to get rid of some of it. Some of my fabric has been hanging around for too long and I may just donate it to my local thrift store, but do you have any better recommendations?

Now I'm probably just being selfish here... but what about a Giveaway? Have your readers leave interesting themed comments to be in with the chance of winning some of your stash ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with @Elisalex. a Giveaway sounds like a great idea! Or if you don't feel up to doing that, giving it away at a local thrift store sounds good too. Or even sending your fabric to poverty stricken areas where local people make clothing (I don't know if there's an organization for this) would also be a good idea.
ReplyDeleteGiveaways are good because you know that at least someone will make something beautiful from your fabric. But if you donate it to a thrift store, just make sure that it's one where the proceeds go to charity!
ReplyDeleteI think the giveaway is a good idea, but I'm gonna pick a more exciting prize!
